It may not be a good idea to visit Mastodon from a work computer
The NSFW option creates an overlay over an image, but the image itself is already loaded and clicking on "Sensitive content" only removes the overlay. If anyone is monitoring your web access (even with TLS, they could have monitoring software installed on your system), they'll know what images were loaded

Set on an icy world where the humanoid inhabitants change their biological sex over their lives, some hail this as a pioneering thought experiment about gender fluidity. I read it instead as more of a commentary on gender itself; that we're all *people* more than we're men or women.
Making the protagonist an outsider (a diplomat from another world) helps ground the book, too, as his changing views help the reader think.

After doing more testing, I decided to go ahead and provide shared hosting for Mastodon instances.
This will be a trial but unless something goes horribly wrong, I believe that I can price it at €5/month for an instance of up to 100 users.
This can greatly diminish the cost of running small instances and remove the technical barrier from everyone who wishes to run their own Mastodon Instance.

This picture is Mt.Kumotori. It is most higher mountain around Tokyo.
It was long way to go to top, the long is over 20km. I cost 2 days to go to top and return bottom. First day, I rested at a motel "Kumotori-Sansou" which located top of the mountain.
The view is beautiful. I could see Mt.Fuji and other famous mountain over cloud.
The actual freedom is that you can make an instance where you can do whatever you want - not that you can do whatever you want on any instance.

BTW, anyone else remember when geeks were *defined* by being enthusiastic? When we didn't start every review with an eye roll? When we were happy to get more geek stuff, still with a discerning eye for low quality but damn it we loved this stuff and it *showed*.

Today, I learned about "Monster Girl Encyclopedia I", a Japanese fantasy novel set in a world where a Succubus took over the monster world. She made all the monsters female, giving them all a strong deisre to mate with human men (and they only give birth to female monsters, so the cycle continues).
It's ridiculous and filthy and bizarre and wonderfully laughable.
