"Article 12: Mineral and hydrocarbon deposits of any nature that exist within the territory
of the nation, beneath the territorial sea bed, within the exclusive economic zone and on
the continental shelf, are the property of the Republic, are of public domain, and therefore
inalienable and not transferable. The seacoasts are public domain property."
Reading #Venezuela 's Constitution you can easily understand why it's the new target by #USA following #Syria #Iraq recently #Brazil etc etc
@iain yes
@alexl I've seen no proof or even a hint.
@alexl I forgot about Obama's sanctions against Venezuela. Bad idea. 😒
@iain USA is boycotting trade with Venezuela to cause a crisis and blame the corruption of the government. With this excuse it will be replaced by men controlled by USA. They will privatise public goods claiming to solve the crisis, but the reality is the opposite: Venezuela with Chávez and Maduro had a great era, poverty had decreased, people got free services and democracy.
USA recently applied the same strategy in Brazil too.
(USA are totally controlled by big corporations)
@alexl The sanctions are aimed at a few government officials, not trade.
I think the USA want to stay out of Venezuela. Venezuela is falling apart without intervention.
"over the past year around three-quarters of Venezuelans have lost weight, averaging 8.7kg per person, because of a scarcity of food" http://www.economist.com/news/finance-and-economics/21720289-over-past-year-74-venezuelans-lost-average-87kg-weight-how
@iain I think you need more context and filtering your sources of information. See the attached image...
@alexl Is the USA targeting Venezuela?
