@angristan "Clownflare" is what I call Cloudflare because I think of them as a bunch of clowns who don't know WTF they're doing. Their inability to secure their public (and heavily publicized) DNS is proof of their incompetence, IMO.

@angristan To be fair, β€œhijack” suggests intent, and even CloudFlare has said this looks like an honest mistake.

@angristan I am definitely far from being a BGP expert but quite interested, so: isn't it possible to prevent such an incident by announcing 1.1.1.1/32 in addition to 1.1.1.0/24?
