@angristan Well, do you think it's fine if people can close back the source code? Mind you, this can mean companies may be more likely to use your code and thus contribute back to it, but you would need to compensate with a strong community.
@angristan If you think freedom needs to be pure or something more pragmatic, then go for... actually probably Apache, since at least that deals with patents and MIT doesn't.
If you want unconditional freedom and no option to close back, (L)GPL.
