@antekone You should be impressed, not afraid. They've done a huge amount of work and tricks to get it working in this narrow domain. Like falling back to simpler audio synthesis when a fast response is required, which you can actually hear. Probably easy to derail by saying anything unusual.
@maxy Yes, the work they've been doing is impressive, no doubts about that.
What terrifies me is how can this technology be used besides the use case they've presented on I/O. Sort of like a dynamite; invented with the noble intention of blasting rocks, but used in military operations, terrorism, etc.
I'm not saying people should stop inventing new stuff, I'm just saying I'm afraid of what can be the negative impact of this new tech. What can be the long-term consequences of sth so big?
