I love that Helix bikes are finally wending their way into the wild! I'll be on my Brompton for 4-5 more years at least (as long as my health and luck in traffic hold out...) but I love the design of these things. It's been a very long path from original crowdfunding through many, many production delays, but they're here!!
(For the record, the irony that I’m posting this on the “social” media platform where I have the fewest followers is not lost on me.)

I fucked something up a little while ago, and am finding it hard to stop focusing on it. 🙁 I mean, I think it’s fixable, but it’ll take some time.
But the worst part is that the person it affects now no longer trusts me. I thought our working relationship was strong enough to not be totally shattered by one (admittedly large) mistake, but I guess I was wrong, and now don’t know whether I should even try to repair the relationship or not…
(N.B.: this isn't about CWs, or even Mastodon interactions. Just something that just happened.)
I really, really appreciate when people I trust take me aside and let me know that, despite good intentions, I've fucked up in words or tones or even asks.
It's gonna happen; it happens to everyone. I'm glad that I have friends whose hearts I know and who know mine, and together we can reach a deeper understanding when we have problems.
RT @[email protected]: The role cities play in building our nation is clear and mandated by voters. The recent news of interference in the #yyz election by the Ontario gov is alarming & flies in the face of local democracy: https://www.theglobeandmail.com/business/commentary/article-respecting-the-independence-of-canadas-cities-is-critical-to-ensuring/ #CDNmuni #CDNpoli #onpoli #yegcc 🇨🇦
Reading about Ownership and Stack-Only Data in The #Rust Programming Language book, and thought “A type can be either Copy or Drop-y”, and this is why I don’t write documentation for a living. 🙂
