@rick_777 I haven't watched the Hollywood Godzilla, but I really enjoyed Anno Hideaki's 2016 movie Shin Gojira for its 1960's feel (both photography and soundtracks). It's also truly scary, with people dying and the good guys unable to accomplish much against this formidable enemy. That's probably why it didn't get good ratings in mainstream western media.
