Sorry for getting so political, folks. I'm venting out the frustration of not being able to stop in Moscow for 2 days in January because there was no time to get a tourist visa in the US, and I need my passport to go back to Italy for Christmas.
We waste too much time, money and opportunities on getting visas. Every country has unique, anachronistic paperwork and slow processes that involve holding your passport for days or weeks.
Also, I'm running out of free pages in my passport, but I won't be able to renew it in Italy due to the holidays, and I don't know if the Italian Embassy in Japan can do it. Probably yes, but it will require going there physically on a work day 🤬
@codewiz We need more on arrival visa / electronic visas. Or no visas at all!
I sometimes wonder how travel was like before passports. According to Wikipedia:
> First Japanese passport, issued in 1866
@codewiz introducing…Google Visa
@kai "Sorry Sir, this border requires Apple Travel..."
@codewiz a whole new meaning to Disneyland
