We bought one of those ridiculously oversized refrigerators:


For some reason, they're called "french door" fridges, but actually I've only ever seen them in the US.

These monsters cost around $2500 new, but my one of my housemates' mom found it used for $700, including delivery! 😲

@codewiz "French door" is a term that's been abused by real estate agents in the US to mean "double door" (while French doors, which also do not originate in France, would be glass paned). I wonder if the fridge folks simply adopted that?

@codewiz It is not french because the freezer on the bottom.

French refrigerators have french windows like the houses: a window that is a door. And they go from top to bottom.
