It's really really long... will it fit on my case?

To avoid ripping off the PCI-E slot, this big-ass card comes with a so-called "Z support bar", which hooks up to *four* slots on the back of the case

I used to think my old Radeon RX Vega 64 was ridiculously big, lol...

Ok, I hooked up the new RX 7900 XT and...

...it didn't work out of the box on #ArchLinux

I mean, the desktop renders, but it's using llvmpipe (software) compositing. Happens with both #Wayland and X11, both #KDE and #Sway.

Why? I couldn't figure from dmesg nor the journal...

Ok, I booted a #Fedora #Rawhide live image, which has a pre-release kernel 6.2, and amdgpu acceleration works just fine out of the box.

Take that, #ArchLinux!

No problem, I'll just get the linux-git package from #aur...

Wait, what? 5.10rc2?!? Why is it so outdated?

That's so disappointing, #ArchLinux! Gotta catch up with #Fedora!
