Foliage in Hinokichō Kōen (檜町公園)

Looks like this will be another depressing weekend of rain and covid sheltering :blobsad:

Today's ride back home was more direct (26km) and cooler (I left after sunset).

As a result, I was able to cover the entire distance in just 2h9m with a safe and relaxed ride 🚲

Today I'm biking to Akitsu (秋津).
It's very hot 🥵

Today's ride was 21km, from noon to 7pm, with many stops to take photos, eat in the park, get espresso and shop for groceries.

Finally! I found a supermarket in which sells frozen falafel, hummus, tahini and pita 🥰

Suddenly woken up by earthquake emergency alerts playing on two cellphones and city loudspeakers 😱

But there was no earthquake 😫

Good morning. It's another rainy, gloomy day here in 🙁

In dissonance with the Prime Minister, yesterday the Governor of Tokyo asked residents to refrain from travelling outside the city, "warning of the imminent possibility of a second wave".

Well, at this point it doesn't look like a *possibility* any more 😱

Today's loop was shorter than last time, but still 40km!

Not bad for a slob who wakes up at noon and leaves from home at 2pm 😎

The river banks in Tokyo offer amazing views and views. Best time is around sunset, but I had too leave sooner than that because I didn't want to ride in the darkness the entire way.

Next, I crossed over the Yamanote line at Ōtsuka Station (大塚駅).

The Tokyo Skytree is clearly visible in the distance (8km away).
