The evil queen, the evil mother. The one who can't stand the time of her beauty passing.
In the brothers Grimm version I own the queen asks „Mirror mirror tell me...” there's no wall mentioned so I decided to go with Heather Pollington interpretation which is very #symbolic for our times.
I'm happy with this blue. Let's see how it goes further... Have a good Monday and good week everyone!
When the evil queen tries to kill Snow White using her tricks, she turns herself into an old woman. The final, third attempt is the poisoned apple...
When Snow White sleeps the eternal sleep, the seven dwarfs don't believe she's dead but also are not able to bring her back to life. They expose her in a coffin made of glass.
Why did Snow White eat the apple though? I tried to suggest this was not only her innocence in play.
Thankfully the whole story ends up good (ups did I spoil it to anybody? :P) and she finally wakes up to the reality where she's joined by the man worthy of her.
This is where I finished painting today. There are things to correct as the whole thing was a huge jump into deep water for me :D
I'm planning on continuing this as a series as well. But this is really a paint eating project and some of my paints are already much closer to finished than full.
Is anyone interested in supporting my work if I started a Patreon or something like this? If yes, what kind of rewards would you like?
Also just a reminder.
Buying one of these would give me funds for about four new small paints of the kind I'm using, which would be very helpful :)
