i want to define a term called "medical will". for me this means the structural, collective, and individual drive toward developing and providing medical measures. so many things are possible or already extant, but without the medical will they're never dispensed to people who need it. political will external to this isn't sufficient, although it's necessary. i think we should talk about how much medical will is lacking, & it should be a focus of accountability for medical and insurance actors.

This is such a perfect storm. On one hand, NSO Group is unequivocally a force for evil in this world, and I do not mind personal cost being put on working for them.
On the other hand, Facebook feels like the exact wrong party to do that.

uspol, impeachment stuff
part of this anxiety is from living in a failed state where law is only for the rich, police are unaccountable murderers, every job is comically dehumanizing, etc. the stresses of living day to day.
but the other part comes from the strenuous effort that goes in to making the state not seem like a failure. democrats workshop their messaging like crew rearranging deckchairs, oblivious to the scale of the crisis they are party to. as momentous as impeachment can seem, it’s just another saga in the state’s implosion. we know that no one who might take the wheel could right the ship, because it’s not a ship and there’s no wheel. the empire is already in freefall.

I see out-of-touch rich guy Jim Spanfeller finally killed #Deadspin.
Interesting story, if only because it's been so well-reported; out-of-touch rich people ruin things like this every day.
