@gbryant Be careful what you wish for, I've heard the Buffy the Vampire Slayer remaster was awful when it finally happened. Hopefully if your wish ever comes true the person in charge respects the source material.

@TheEnbyperor up front disclaimer, I do not have a blog nor have I tried the options I'm about to list. I just have a habit of making a note of tools I hear about. You'll have to do your own research.

Finally got around to beating Evoland 2. I found it a very enjoyable experience with a story depth I was not expecting after the first game's parody style story. I would recommend it for anyone who likes nostalgia for the 90's era of RPGs and doesn't mind "gimmick" game play. One particularly memorable part was when the game suddenly turned into Street Fighter for a boss fights, complete with hydokens.

@strider you should file a bug report, I too would like proper documentation.

Been tinkering with a backup tool called Restic after seeing a Fedora Magazine article on it (fedoramagazine.org/automate-ba) seems pretty neat. Guess it's time to start playing with systemd so I can automate it like the article says to do instead of doing it all by hand.

Hello everyone !

πŸ“’ πŸ”΄ URGENT πŸ”΄

An awesome software is dying, because its #developper has not time anymore to care of it.

It's an alternative of Adobe AfterEffect : Natron (natrongithub.github.io/)

Please, can Mastodon community search for a C++ dev, which want to maintain it ? or search for a company which work with free software ? It's very important.

Boost very appreciated

Thanks in advance for your contribution !

2 weekends in a row with no time to get in some gaming. 😭 I will get back to you Evoland Legendary Edition, I promise.

One of my coworkersmay be converted to a Linux user. He normally uses a Macbook so I installed @elementary on a spare computer for him to use. After seeing how nice the experience was and all the tools Linux has to offer for a few months, he just told me he's ditching Adobe and thinking about selling his Macbook to buy a System76 laptop.

Spent the weekend playing Evoland Legendary Edition. It includes both Evoland games. The first one is just as funny as I remember from my first play through years ago. So happy to finally be able to play the sequel on Linux. Thus far It's been very enjoyable and it surprisingly has an original story vs the bare bones parody of a story the first game had.

The story was also pretty good with a lot of humour and a few unexpected twists.

Finally got around to beating Iconoclasts. Solid game with nice graphics. It only really frustrated me a few times by not being clear what I was supposed to do or where I was supposed to go. Some of those instances were "my fault" for not noticing the subtle hints the game was giving me in a timely manner. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who likes platformers with just the slightest hint of metroidvania.

I really like the goals / idea behind the badge system for the PureOS App Store (puri.sm/posts/purism-announces).

Now if that can be combined with the "pay what you want" of the ElementaryOS App Store, I feel like that would be a really great combo.

One of the Engineers at the company I work for, can't do his job because of a license error with Fusion360. After hours tech support with the software vendor, they couldn't use Teamviewer to connect to his computer, because they had a license issue with Teamviewer. Ah the joys of proprietary software and DRM.

KDE helped NASA reach Mars and now we're helping James Cameron reach Pandora in the #Avatar sequels. Lisa Su of AMD shows off video effects software running on KDE Plasma. #CES2019

@strider don't teach it how to feel human emotions, that's how they always get defeated in the movies.
