That post paints a rosy picture of the food production. However, having read the other article I can see where the problems might lie.

I realise this article is from 2015, but from what I can tell the situation hasn't changed much.
A lot of the fruit & vegetables we have on offer do come from Spain. I don't know if they specifically come from Almeria, but I'll try to find out.
