Die Hard (1988)

I've only just noticed that in one of the floors of the Nakatomi building there are Control Data mainframes. Our hero, John McClane, walks past them. I've never seen a CD mainframe in the "flesh".

If you've never seen the movie, you really should.

@fitheach Saw an essay once on how Die Hard exposes all the more interesting ways of navigating a large building, exposing the guts of large systems. McClane rarely just walks. Even when he does the broken glass seems almost to remind him "this isn't a walking movie".

Yes. I'll stick with the lifts or stairs. 😃

Just walking would make for a less interesting action movie.

It was a big box, with "Control Data" written down the side. I wouldn't have recognised it otherwise.
