Currently watching "Blade Runner 2049". What a load of tosh. Nothing like as good as the original BR, and yet it has 8.0/10 on IMDb. Something is rotten in the state of Denmark.

A running time of 2 hours, 44 minutes, doesn't automatically make an epic movie. It certainly doesn't work for BR 2049.

All the building architecture in Blade Runner 2049 is Brutalist. Now, there's a dystopian future, for you.

@fitheach I really enjoyed it. Not as good as the first one though.

Cinematography was good, the story really dragged. Too many long, lingering looks by Ryan Gosling.

The blatant advertising was a bit much, too.

@fitheach Yeah. I wasn't whether the advertising thing was some sort of message about the future we'll live in - or just a money grab by the production company.

I watched it at the cinema. Not sure how well it would translate to a smaller screen.
