Wee Willie Davis appeared in several big budget movies of the 1940s & 50s, including "Samson and Delilah" and "Reap the Wild Wind".
He acquired his in-joke name from his days as a professional wrestler in the 1930s. He was 1.96m (6' 5") tall.

The screenshot came from the Sherlock Holmes movie "Pursuit to Algiers" (1945), one of the many excellent presentations starring Basil Rathbone and Nigel Bruce as the famous detective and his sidekick Dr. Watson.
