I was going to say Pasha is about Neachdainn's size, but he is a lot smaller. Neachdainn weighs about 35 pounds (16kg), he has a long body and short legs. For his size Neachdainn also has enormous paws, excellent for digging.

I'm sure Pasha & Neachdainn could be good friends. Though two males sometimes need careful introductions. 😃

Do you have another pooch?

I also wanted to include this photo of ivy from today's , but Mastodon has a four image limit. :blobsad:

The ivy was growing wild on top of an old dry stane dyke.

Crisp (-10°C) & sunny day for today's . When I came out of the forest it clouded over (see photo 1). Once back in the car the cloud cleared. 🤷‍♂️

had his new boots on. They were useless. He threw one front within 500m and the two rear slipped down and looked like clown shoes.

I do like the adblock message in Tatler. At least they're honest.

Flemish newspaper De Standaard are using John Cleese (Basil Fawlty) goose stepping out of a circle of EU stars to represent Brexit.

Thanks to @uwehermann I've learned about Mongolian folk metal, and I really like it!

I like folk metal or medieval metal / rock in general, and the Mongolian version adds another layer of exotic instruments, singing and language to it.

It just really gets me into a positive, energetic mood.
The band I'm currently listening to extensively there is "Nine Treasures" ( ).
They are Chinese nationals because Inner Mongolia is part of China, but their music is Mongolian.

The Malthouse Compromise

Nope, sorry, that was a terrible movie.

Here is a more measured, and correct, response to Theresa May's silly games.

Tomorrow's Independent front page:

8.41pm MPs send May back to Brussels for a new deal

8.47 Brussels says no

The response by the UK right wing press was also predictable.

Tomorrow's Daily Express:
...Now it's up to EU

Similar nonsense in some of the other papers.

The shenanigans in the Westminster parliament tonight have been even more ridiculous than normal.

The response from the EU (Tusk) was utterly predictable:

"Withdrawal agreement is and remains best and only way to ensure an orderly withdrawal of the UK from the EU. The backstop is part of the Withdrawal Agreement, and the Withdrawal Agreement is not open for re-negotiation."

Marking 50 years since the death of Winston Churchill?

I don't think so.

Ross Greer is nearer the mark:
"Churchill was a white supremacist mass murderer."
