NO. Many ISPs already block p2p protocol traffic and . Blockchain probably won't save you. If you have the money and resources, establish your own ISP, preferably a . Otherwise, CALL CONGRESS. They might be able to invoke the Congressional Review Act.

It's only possible in pleroma though, because mastodon haven't all those anti abuse features.

I guess everyone has its priorities.

Nicole boosted

the pleroma.site policy of setting problematic instance posts always as unlisted is pretty good.

like blocking but people can still itneract if they /really/ want.

All these Nazis are really giving living with your parents a bad name

yes, solving the Mastodon long post problem is worth $100 to me, because every day somebody complains about it and asks the rest of us to work around Mastodon's deficiency.
Nicole boosted

@Elizafox @kaniini @Gargron I'll throw $50us into the pot if you merge that patch, too.

@AveryisWeird
doing this penalises people writing multi-lingual posts

Some people tend to get depressed because their brains are biologically tuned to be better at perceiving and focusing on negative information in the environment.

Living in a hostile environment is particularly bad for these people. Interestingly, there is some evidence that living in a supportive environment is particularly *good* for these people.

Many "risk" genes for mental illness may be more accurately described as genes which make people sensitive to the environment, for better or worse.

as an unexceptional, alien orangutan just opened a dusty library book and the first page reads "Don't trust barbecue"... in the Twilight Zone.

I mean I'd hesitate to call someone pedantic when you started with "well technically" before I even got involved

@emsenn @funbreaker
Well I don't honestly have anything against getting things in the language you speak. In fact I fully support that kind of thing. But in this situation it wasn't that my dad wasn't being serviced or whatever, nor was it even that the cashier didn't know English, it was just the cashier assumed my dad knew Spanish. My dad could have said "sorry I don't know Spanish" and gone on with his day, but he decided not to

@tom not abusive: targeting a specific person with insults and threats

abusive: saying "fuck" to a famous rich person, joking about using catapults to fling bigots into a volcano

incredible

friends ocs! I tried to get as many done possible! I love everyone

Every time my dad has ever gone to Miami he’s brought back stories of how he gave cashiers shit for trying to speak in Spanish to him. Like.. it says the number on the cash register. Why the fuck are you gonna make a scene cause the cashier said the numbers in Spanish?

> This is an English-speaking country

Hard to understand how you hold that view when you’ve experienced first-hand someone speaking Spanish here
