there should be curbside electronics recycling
like there are so many rare earth metals in electronics that people just toss in the trash and it'd be so much better if it were made as easy as possible for people to recycle them
like you don't need a giant rolling bin, but at least a small bin with a lid to withstand the elements

So #fediverse : I have been out of the #selfhost scene for a while. Decided to setup an old mac mini (5,2) with linux and run #dokuwiki, #syncthing, #wallabag, and #gitea on it.

* I don't feel any more compassionate, although I do try to be considerate and conscious of others and their needs.
* The only thing I have created is more chaos in my life.
* And I haven't learned anything significant.
Something I’d forgotten in my brief wandering away from here is how much this brings me stuff I do not see anywhere else.
I don’t draw. I don’t fantasy. I don’t tech. I scarcely queer. In fact I barely understand what’s going on around me here most days.
But I experience no boredom with it at all. I feel like I get to listen in on new things all the time.
Something about community makes us hear from one another better.
Interesting.
Sitting here in the waiting room at hospital and watching a couple of younger people having face-to-face conversation, while a an older woman uses a laptop, and another older woman is playing on her Switch.
And this older man is playing on his phone.
Frontier internet has been horrible all week, and now it has been out since yesterday. Stellar start to the new year!

* Create
* Compassion
I have sent way too long as a consumer, scrolling and clicking. It is time I start producing something, anything. use the skills I have, and expand where they are lacking.
And I should stop being a self possessed prick.
