What is the reason to star toots, when there is no star counter?

· Web · 1 · 6

@janjaromirhorak There's a star counter when you click on the toot ;)

@Depado Oh, didn't notice that, thanks! :)

@janjaromirhorak because people agree/like that particular toot?

@y Yeah, you are right, and there is in fact a star counter (as @Depado pointed out) when you click on the toot, i didn't notice that before.

@Depado @janjaromirhorak oh yeah, the boosts and favourites are counted :D that's okay, i also didn't notice that before.

@janjaromirhorak There is one, but you have to click the toot to see it.
Also originally, "favorites" weren't a fame counter, just a way to "pin" toots(tweets) and be able to retrieve toots you liked, or see someone's favorite toots

@kwaio It might just be a bad habit from twitter, to expect the stars to work as "fame counter". :D

@janjaromirhorak There is. On the web app, when you click on a toot. Also, it allows to save a link for later, for example.

@janjaromirhorak There is a star counter, it can be seen after clicking on the toot.
Also, staring saves the toot as a favourite in case you want to access it later.
And it sends a notification to the tooter.

@Melon_Bread Yeah, I didn't realize, that there is in fact a counter, if I click on the toot.

Btw, thats not my profile picture, I'm confused...

@janjaromirhorak It is fine I did not know if you meant that kind of counter or not. Also yeah that's the default image on my instance, so do not worry. =]

@janjaromirhorak
From the web interface you can see the counts of stars and boosts. First click on "..." and then "expand this status".
