@nextcloud Nice. FWIW bookmarks, history (and anything else) synced via is end-to-end emcrypted, though. You can also send tabs to your other devices. Works quite nice.

@jomo Yes, and you can actually self-host the Firefox Sync Server.

@attac_hl @jomo indeed. Is it easy to change the server nowadays? IIRC this used to be a problem.

@jomo That's as easy as changing the about:config entry 'identity.sync.tokenserver.uri'

@attac_hl I think what I loosely remembered was probably the Auth server. But it doesn't seem to be an issue nowadays: mozilla-services.readthedocs.i

@jomo Hosting the account server is definitely more difficult. E.g., it has the database name hardcoded. However, why would you want to selfhost that? It's just for authentification.
