#google spokespersons frequently lie and say the search results are a result of some "algorithm". That's simply not true. Google has about 100k people, mostly contractors, (that's a lot, isn't it) who manually ranks websites based on a set of guidelines. It's not AI, or some "algorithm", deciding what you do and don't find using Google.
