Questioning participation of a workshop at the local hackspace due to massive misogynistic shit I experienced during my last visits there.
If going there feels like actual fear for usually open-minded women, folks there should definitely scrutinize their atmosphere. But, well - "obviously everyone is fine here, so YOU must be the problem".
My husband went to kindergarten for a project session initiated by the care workers today. He introduced the baby to the big kid's group, feeding him breastmilk from a bottle and answering a lot of questions about him.
Hopefully at least one of the kids will have learned that it can be absolutely normal for fathers to stay at home with an infant - and for mothers to have ambitions to work and either feed their baby.

34C3 in Leipzig makes it very likely that the whole family will take part for at least one day this year. As long as we are already back from New Zealand then - what depends on the end of my maternal leave, what depends on the final delivery date of the baby within the next days. So lucky to finally succeed in being allowed to donate stem cells from umbilical cord blood during the coming birth.
After spending months in hospital because of suspected leukemia few years ago it was my inner need which was rejected by the hospital at first. I have to take care of ordering the collection set in my own responsibility, but they will take care of everything else afterwards.
