In 2018 be an active participant in how you internet, instead of a passive consumer of content via social media. Basically go back to what the web used to be 10 years ago.
This is more or less what I started doing last year, dropping out of social media and doubling down on RSS and blogs.
Help me out mastodon. We had this really good appetizer at a ramen place in Oklahoma City and it was like a pork and rice bowl with really tasty sauce. And we cannot remember what it was called. We desperately want to ask for it at our local ramen spot. Any ideas what it could be?
I went to a "Geeks Who Drink" trivia night with some friendly strangers tonight. I don't know at what point it was supposed to get "geeky" though, not once did they ask about buffer overflows, C compilers, *NIX, distributed computing, encryption, or even crypto currencies.

New Year resolutions have a pretty bad reputation, but arguing that setting goals "doesn't work" in any scenario isn't true. I haven't waited until the end of the year to work towards my goals, but I'm posting them now in anticipation of 2018.
...and because I've decided to do a yearlong challenge on https://habitica.com and one of the things on the list is to share my goals with friends / on social media.
