I'm going to be more careful in future to reference #Facebook when talking about #WhatsApp or #Instagram. It's easy to forget who owns WA and IG when talking about features and it's important to remind people where their data is going.
@lychee I hate that they've merged the data so that FB friends can find you on IG. I've spent 8 years keeping my Twitter (and now Mastodon) profile completely separate from FB, but that's now obliterated via IG - where my screen name and avi correspond to this.
For instance "Facebook updated WhatsApp to do X feature" as opposed to "WhatsApp updated to include X feature".
