Then I reread the headline.
@jalefkowit To call that article stupid is an understatement. It's offensively out of touch.
There are huge areas of Upstate New York that don't have access to internet faster than DSL, and the Times writes instead about real estate being too expensive near Long Island.

@jalefkowit I'm in a small town that's actually relatively well off in this respect. While my parents (whom I have been staying with since the pandemic) currently get overpriced broadband from Spectrum, after all these years, larger and larger parts of the town are finally getting access to fiber.
