Just had a bad case come down through the Danish consumer protection agency - a company offering short-term, high-interest loans was convicted of illegal marketing because they were basing their entire marketing effort on gambling site ads, directly feeding into the epicenter of gambling addictions.
That is some evil stuff.
Interestingly, part of the basis of the verdict was how they scooped up data to do very specific microtargeting.
