PHP-based #Mastodon for shared hosting?
I was very interested in the @nextcloud Social project that allowed for a self-hosted Social instance that ran well on my shared hosting, but that seems on final stages of life support.
Is there something else for self-hosting that does not need server root? I basically just want it to run the one account. I love using mstdn.io, but I would still like to try out other options.
