Hmm. It's not as bad as I thought. At least full screening the browser allows viewing at relatively large size. Let's see if I can figure out what if any resizing happens on upload.

Not sure yet about mastodon as a #photography sharing medium. Not that the parent shot is all that great, but downsizing doesn't help. That's something I miss about #googleplus is relatively painless sharing of high-ish resolution (say 1920x1080) photos. I guess the economics of hosting a bunch of heavy media are maybe tricky. Linking to flicker seems to miss the #federationtopia point a bit.
