How am I supposed to autostart an app in , after login? For unknown reasons, putting commands into .xinitrc doesn't work. Using Xfce's "Sessions and autostart" settings doesn't work either. Obviously, no single error message.

@pskosinski could be an issue with a saved session. Try clearing saved sessions and disabling autosaving sessions, then add your new autostart settings.

That should give you a fresh session when logging out and in again, with your new settings applied.

@kungtotte I am not able to get rid of session saving. I uncheck the checkbox saying something like "Save session on logout", it still saves the session.

@pskosinski that sounds like the core issue then. I don't think I ever experienced that when running XFCE :/
