Went out at 2am to look at the stars - could see Cygnus overhead with the Milky Way behind it, a shooting star, but what's that really bright red star low in the East? It's Mars! But you won't see it before about 2am

Also Jupiter is very bright in the South (you'll see it from 11pm onwards), near its peak brightness/closest approach right now too
