I think Valve should consider distributing their official binaries as a @FlatpakApps.

@slp The major issue, IIUC, with that is the graphics driver/libc/libstdc++.

That's always been a bit of a sore point for arch users - games regularly break on the free drivers.

@slp I think the future of proprietary applications on Linux should be some kind of containerized package. If Adobe ever comes to Linux they could go flatpak. Wine, Proton, custom libraries would all be invisible and seamless to the user no matter the distro.
