I love this project: a riverbed in Amsterdam was drained and the ~700,000 found objects dating from the 1300s to present were photographed and presented online:

Managed to delete the boot partition while experimenting in an amateurish way with new Linux distros on my Lenovo laptop and am stuck.
I've switched back to using my old MPB and I might stick with it for now.
