Close enough :)

A 13oz sphere of sheep manure will have a radius of about 4.538cm

Science!
Thomas

@jezra
And now the only remaining thing we need to know: why? 😎

@tpheine my trebuchet was designed to throw 13oz projectiles.

I am planning on throwing balls of manure, with seeds mixed in, into a bare pasture.

The projectiles probably need some clay mixed in to keep the ball from crumbling under the centrifugal forced of the treb.

I'm playing dung beetle :)

@jezra
Now this is a combination of the useful and fun! Impressive

@tpheine
Don't listen to anything @jezra says, he's just spreading sh#t.

@Thomas @jezra @Dave M7TLB 🐞

I'm looking forward to the trebouchet tests.
@ken_fallon @tpheine @thelovebug it is some random garbage measurement made up by the romans, and forced upon decent folk by asshats who think base 12 is easier than base 10.

@jezra
Yip just found it funny you refer to weight in oz but length in cm.
@thelovebug @tpheine can you ash him to do some @hpr shows. I know he has a filter to hide me when I ask.

@ken_fallon @thelovebug @tpheine @hpr as a self-taught fan of the metric system, that happens often depending upon which is easier for me to remember, and which formula I am measuring for.

I imagine it is like a child in a bilingual household, speaking excitedly.

@jezra

I must confess to having the same attitude myself. I use a tape with Inches and CM. So I get a 2"x4" and cut it 2M.

Oddly enough I thought the entire NL would be metric by now, given how long ago Napoleon brought us ^10, but I was amazed to find 3/4" and 1/4" inch fittings in my house.

@ken_fallon
That's just normal for piping if you use ANSI standard, except you adapt the ISO or Russian GOST standards. In Germany we have DN25 instead of 1" for example.

But, this is very complicated anyway, as you need to consider outer diameter (OD) and inner diameter (ID) as well as pressure class (CL, PN) and wall thickness (WT). With ANSI you also have to consider a temperature derating...

Please go along, there is nothing to see here 😂
