And now the only remaining thing we need to know: why? 
I am planning on throwing balls of manure, with seeds mixed in, into a bare pasture.
The projectiles probably need some clay mixed in to keep the ball from crumbling under the centrifugal forced of the treb.

Yip just found it funny you refer to weight in oz but length in cm.

I must confess to having the same attitude myself. I use a tape with Inches and CM. So I get a 2"x4" and cut it 2M.
Oddly enough I thought the entire NL would be metric by now, given how long ago Napoleon brought us ^10, but I was amazed to find 3/4" and 1/4" inch fittings in my house.

That's just normal for piping if you use ANSI standard, except you adapt the ISO or Russian GOST standards. In Germany we have DN25 instead of 1" for example.
But, this is very complicated anyway, as you need to consider outer diameter (OD) and inner diameter (ID) as well as pressure class (CL, PN) and wall thickness (WT). With ANSI you also have to consider a temperature derating...
