is it possible for a town to achieve parity in the ratio of houses of worship to cannabis dispensaries? insurance offices to community gardens? emergency shelters to playgrounds?

as i get older, "finding" exemplary locales that advocate civil/secular tolerance and inclusiveness, and rely less on capital interests (maybe there's a better phrase out there) becomes less interesting than fulfilling that ethic locally. i really have no idea how, though.

nothing wrong with striving for simplicity!

this reads a little puerile, maybe, but i'm fairly interested, so if anyone wants to throw up some hashtags and literature, it's appreciated!
