@xahlee It's a very political book, told as an absurdist satire / fairy tale. Great UK tradition (see also: Johnathan Swift.)

What percentage of the characters in the book are political in nature? The Queen, her courtiers, the wry observations like, "My dear, here we must run as fast as we can, just to stay in place. And if you wish to go anywhere you must run twice as fast as that."

@jeremiah i read a lot about Alice, though, i think there's least comment about its political connotation. (but i might be missing something)

but Swift, yes, absolutely, undeniable. I also annotated them. :)
