The city of #Magdeburg, Germany, has recently opened a public tender and has asked companies to hand in their biddings for a possibly 100% #OpenSource #school IT solution. I am considering to hand in a quote for #DebianEdu. Are there #Debian admins here on the Fediverse that can imagine joining into this effort as part of the team? If so, please get in touch! Thanks!

@sunweaver sounds interesting! curious to know how you're imagining it. a distributed team with local members? i do and i'm looking for accomplices to form a and provide IT services. this might fit.

@zeh so, the Fre(i)e Software GmbH might be the sort of #coop you have been looking for. People in the company could be located across Europe (in my vision, we have Germany and Austria in the company, so far). But for the school project it might be helpful of at least do people providing support would be in the area of Magdeburg. However, the technical design I have in mind will work 98% remote.

@sunweaver cool, i like where (and how) you're going. also found your blog post about Fre(i)e Software GmbH and would like to read more. it reminds me of, have you seen their docs?

@zeh Yeah, I have come across the Crisp DNA before, but the company design for Fre(i)e Software GmbH is basically coming from my heart and the hearts of people joining the company. We are close to releasing the first website version, so stay tuned. If you have any further questions, please change to e-mail comm channel and send your inquiries. Thanks.

@sunweaver Ok, great. I didn't mean copy this or that, I just meant to say that there are interesting resources out there to draw inspiration from and help implement your own ideas for the organization you want. I'll be on the lookout for the website :) cheers

@zeh I'll announce it on Mastodon... ( the online release of the website, I mean)
