We have an entire generation of new web devs who think the Web is just a JS VM. They put together websites the same way a child puts together Lego. They can't tell you why something works, and have trouble if you ask them to build a site from scratch without a framework.
This is what happens when you stack frameworks on top of frameworks. You get engineers who don't know what the fuck is going on.
It's the collective obesity of websites, built on the ignorance of webdevs and the decisions of management, who don't understand the medium.
