My basic design philosophy when designing #Mastodon (the operating system of #newgab) was, "there should be a twitter where you can say the N Word." Welcome to the new world.

@gargron I'd just like to interject for a moment...

What you’re referring to , is in fact, /Gab, or as I’ve recently taken to calling it, Mastodon plus GAB. GAB is not an social network unto itself, but rather another node part of a fully functioning Mastodon/Fediverse made useful by Ostatus and Activitypub protocols, programming socks, idols, autism and other vital web components comprising a full social meta-network known as the fediverse

@astheroth @gargron Btw, is there any good overview of all Fediverse implementations? And why should one use over the other? I personally choose Pleroma over Mastodon because Mastodon instances try to hard to be a twitter clone (I hate those small character limits).

@Nikusuke I used gnusocial first since 2014 After my gnusocial node was down almost all the time I switched to mastodon until being censored and then I tried pleroma until they used the glitch code which made it incompatible with older browsers. This forced me back to mastodon, but now mastodon only runs on updated browsers which makes me using brutaldon on mobile..

in short it depends.

@astheroth @Nikusuke

basically use but rip out the image compression and incoming post deletion, and improve/fix the peep feature

Let's just shut down Mastodon completely and start over, this time without the Nazis and Fascists.

"Race hatred cannot stop us, this one thing I know
Poll tax and Jim Crow and greed have got to go
You're bound to lose
You fascists are bound to lose
All you Fascists bound to lose 5x

People of every color marching side by side
Marching across these fields where a million fascists died
You're bound to lose
You fascists are bound to lose"

@hhardy01 to be honest many people that are right/left wing (I say the 99%) here don't have right to vote in my country which means in simply terms I don't care about what they actually think bc they cannot modify what happens in my land.

Are you trying to tell us that 99 percent of the people in Japan have no right to vote?

@hhardy01 I don't live in Japan. I live In Chile. And when I was talking of *here* I meant *this social network*, almost the 99% of the people on the fediverse have no right to vote in my country because they aren't chileans, which means, what they currently think in political terms, doesn't mean anything for me.

If you think foreign politics and polices of the United States do not affect Chile, maybe you should learn more about your country's history with the CIA...
