@liberadalinux @bryan It was atrocious PR (as in "public relations", not "pull request"), and I would say the reason #1 why Mastodon managed to get a bigger success right from the start. Reason #2 being that the most popular servers are also way more stable (what happened to quitter.se?) and then the unique stuff it provided.
