Help me out here. I've always known this word: wauchly (not sure of the spelling). Meaning something that is loose or shoogly.
Anyone else familiar with this word? Can anyone confirm the spelling?
@fitheach Maybe a combination of bauchle (meaning to bungle, botch, mismanage) and wambly (staggering, unsteady)?
@scotlit
So, there is a word "wauchle" which is sort of similar. Wauchle means shamble or be unsteady. However, I would assume that wauchle would be pronounced like bauchle. The word I know is more like a "y" at the end.
What do you think?
@fitheach Yes, I think "wauchly" would be a derivative of "wauchle"
